Off to the Dealer

Date:
By Wom Battle

I called the dealer on Tuesday morning to discuss the issue I had had on Monday evening with my 2009 Harley-Davidson® Road King® slipping into limp home mode while riding on the Freeway.  I was told to bring it in and they'd hook it up to their computer to see what was going on. I told them I'd really like to try to get the bike back by Easter (Good Friday's tomorrow) if possible, but with only being three days to the break I wasn't really that hopeful.

Anyhow, I took it down and received a call yesterday morning asking if I could drop my Super Tuner down.  The error message (sadly I didn't get the code) suggested an issue with the throttle controller or the connectors at the other end.  They intended to reflash the ECM and put my tune back into to the bike.  I took it down.

Today I was still hoping until the last minute that I'd get the bike back but at 4pm I got the call I didn't want.  ECM reflashed, the error was not resolved.  No riding for me over the coming five day break.  Bugger!
