With the Harley's dropped off at the Bikes Only Depot about 15 k's outside of Perth CBD today was out "day off" and time to have a bit of a look around WA's capital.  A quick spot of shopping at the brand name end of town followed by a change of accommodation pace saw us in a taxi heading up to the Hyatt Regency for the last night

We were within a day's ride from Perth, but hadn't decided whether or not to go all the way or stop somewhere in between.  That decision was going to be made later in the day based on weather and what we saw.

First thing though was to head south to Cape Leeuwin, the most southwestern point of Australia and the point where the Great

Because of the epic ride yesterday we were about 400k's ahead of schedule. It was our intention today to follow the original plan and head north to do a loop through Kalgoorlie and Coolgardie, back through Norseman and then do the 230k's or so to Esperance for the night.  However, after riding the last 6 days through a heatwave culminating

One thing about travelling west across the Nullabor is that the time zones and racing the sun means you can sneak additional daylight to ride  so our original plan to leave Nundroo and stop for the night at Cocklebiddy (about 600k's) was unanimously chuckled out the window.  My son and I, my mate Heffy on two 09 Road Kings were going

Up early this morning and thanks to finding a hose attached to a tap at the motel we took the opportunity to give the bikes a cursory but well needed wash.  Today we were heading towards the Nullabor where water to wash motorcycles was likely not available for the next few days.

Our motel room at Port Lincoln Hilton had a view of the

Up at 5.30am with plans to leave before breakfast saw us strike out from Adelaide towards Port Augusta with the final destination for the day, the Hilton Motel Port Lincoln nearly 700k's away. Temperatures were predicted in the low 40's and it didn't take long to convince us they were heading that way.  We rode almost straight through to Port

Another hot day coming up.  We left Kingston fairly quickly after refuelling and taking some pics of the legendary Big Lobster.  Leaving town and heading towards Victor Harbour along the "coast road" took us through some very picturesque salt flats (the Coorong), the only problem was that it stank big time, for about 100k's.

Breakfast at the Comfort Inn on Raglan, Warnambool was interesting.  We made a bit of a slow start, deciding to pack before we ate, and walked in to the dining room a moment before 9am when breakfast was supposed to finish.  Our request for food at the bitching hour was
