With the National HOG Rally over it was time to return to Melbourne and our well missed Harleys to begin the next phase of our trip across Australia to Perth.  We arrived at Launceston early enough to spend some time at the Qantas Club lounge before boarding the plane for the short flight which was as Murhpy would have it, delayed for half

First order of the day was to find a gym to work off last night's meal so with Heffy and Zanderhar left sleeping I stepped out to find one.  I managed to locate one a few blocks away, checked it out and it got a tick.  I went back to the Motel, told Heffy and we soon had the gym gear on and we were on our way.

We had a couple of quiet

After a nice stop at Ned Kelly country (Glenrowan) it was time to head straight for Melbourne airport. Got a bit chilly on the way, and breezy but weather ok.

We arrived at the Secure Parking for our Harley's and were shuttled to the airport.  We dropped into the Qantas Club Lounge and because the flight was sadly delayed we had the

We left Albury reasonably early after breakfast around the corner from the motel.  We took a couple of snaps on the banks of the Murray River just before crossing the border to Victoria.  The road was essentially freeway but we couldn't resist stopping at Glenrowan, famous Ned Kelly Haunt.  Took some pics of the historic village

With nearly 5,500 k's on the new Road King and 6000+ k's to add to it on the Perth ride taking it well past the normal service schedule of 8,000k's it was time to bite the bullet and take it to the Harley Guru to get it ready for the trip.

On the agenda was putting in the best oil, transmission oil, iridium plugs, best air cleaner

I recently received a message the SeaSA's ferry to Lucky Bay that was going to shave off a few hundred k's of our trip between Adelaide and Port Lincoln won't be running because some Abu Dabian decided not to lend them their boat.

Because of that we'll now need to ride right around Spencer Gulf through Port Augusta and Port Pirie adding

This morning's weather was much like yesterday. Perfectly sunny with a slight chill in the air.  I needed to do a couple of things including booking my Road King in for a service with the Harley Guru.  I also wanted to chat to the guru about the impending trip across the Nullarbor and get an opinion from him about any risks involved in
